There's no doubt that weddings can be extremely expensive. The average wedding will cost you around $30,000. Unless you already have that kind of money for your 'big day,' you'll be looking to save money in every possible area. I'm currently planning my own wedding and so I've picked up on a few ways that you can save money. One important thing to note is that:
You can have the same quality wedding as anyone else for thousands of dollars less! - And chances are no one will notice!
Ready to start saving some money? Here are three tips that you can use to save thousands of dollars:
(1) Give your guests a buffet style meal instead of single plates - I've never seen a catering service that charges more for a buffet than individual plates. Want to know why? It's because with individual plates, you have to pay the catering service for more staff (to set up the plates of food) and more equipment (you have to put the food on something!)
Typical Savings = $1,000
(2) Have an outdoor wedding/reception - Renting out a church and a reception hall can cost you as much as $5,000. It makes sense to have everything outside and save all that money.
Typical Savings = $1,500
(3) Get a 'fake' cake - I'm sure you know that wedding cakes are expensive (I've seen cakes that are over $10,000...) One way that you can save money is by getting a plastic cake. You can get a plastic cake with a place for a single slice of cake to go into. You and your bride/groom will still get to cut the cake, it will just be in one spot! Have sheet cake ready in the back to serve your guests. You're guests will never know the difference!
Typical Savings = $1,000
Stop wasting thousands of dollars on you wedding! I've shown you just three tips that could save you $3,500 - don't you want to know how you can save over $10,000?! Click here to check out these tips!.
